The purpose of this study was to examine the dual mediating effects of emotional clarity and psychological burnout on the relationship between counselors¡® developmental level and working alliance. A total of 292 certified counselors who participated in the study completed Korean Counselor Level Questionnaire(KCLQ), Working Alliance Inventory(WAI), Trait Meta-Mood Scale(TMMS), and Maslach Burnout Inventory(MBI). The collected data were analyzed by the structural equation model(SEM). For the data analysis, SPSS 25.0 program and AMOS 25.0 program were used. Also, bootstrapping was used to verify the significance of the mediating effect. The primary findings were as follows. The effects of emotional clarity and psychological burnout were full mediating variables, and the sequential mediating effect was verified. As a result, the findings showed that emotional clarity and psychological burnout are important variables in increasing working alliance.
